Kesher #1’s first review!

Thank you, thank you to my dear and knowledgeable friend, Morgan Lazo, for the kind, stellar review of “Pursuit of Truth“!

In an America of the distant future, Janice Smith is a fairly ordinary thirteen year old girl with a decent life. Not too rich, not too poor, lives with her mother, with whom she is very close, and while not exceedingly popular, is comfortable socially. Her mother is a political activist who speaks out against the government’s monumental levels of control over the people. Social levels and travel restrictions mean that only the most wealthy and influential have any true free will or options for their lives. Unfortunately, this has gotten the attention of the wrong people. Janice comes home from school to find armed unknowns spiriting her mother away, and Janice must flee for her life and her freedom through a world where everything is monitored and it is unknown who can be trusted.

Janice’s journey is very exciting and without giving spoilers, all I can say is that the manner in which events progress is extremely well-orchestrated. Sarah Wallin-Huff has provided something that this book-lover finds only too rarely: a unique experience. That may not sound like the highest praise, but it is. Her world is very well-developed. The future tech is innovative and conceivable. This book is highly recommended, and I cannot wait for the next one to be released.

If you’ve read and enjoyed this book leave a review at Amazon and help spread the news about this little work of mine. 🙂

And, if you haven’t read it yet, consider getting a copy and giving it a try!

Presenting… Novel Soundtrax!

After the joy of working on my Music Response soundtrack for Jorge Armenteros’ The Book of I, I figured, why not extend the offer of working on such projects with more authors and other creative-types? And so, Novel Soundtrax was born!

I would be delighted to create soundtracks for any other authors out there who’d like to have a custom track, EP, or album created especially to accompany their literary artwork – whether it be a novel, picture-book, collection of poems, graphic novel, audio book…or any other creative work, really… The sky’s the limit! 🙂

Let’s be creative together!

“Teaston – I Think I Am”: The Video for The Book of I

Artist Liselott Johnsson has combined her striking visuals and the track from my original OST – “I Know What Death Sounds Like” – with excerpts from Jorge Armenteros‘ writing to create a stunning and haunting artistic response to The Book of I.

Enjoy this beautiful video below, and be sure to check out the entire project: the novel that started it all, with Liselott’s accompanying original artwork, and my full album of music!

(Note: This video contains original, high modern art; some of the visuals may be more suited to mature audiences. Some discretion is advised.)

“Music for The Book of I” – Now Available!

Now on CD Baby, iTunes, and very soon at other online retailers, Book of I OST coverartyou can purchase your own copy of my OST for Jorge Armenteros’ novel, The Book of I!

…the soundtrack composed by Sarah Wallin Huff stands out as both a powerful album, taking its listener on an emotional journey of beauty, despair, and hope, as well as a fascinating study of the composer’s visceral and intellectual connection to the source material…the album is a stunning collection of gorgeous, orchestral selections comprised mostly of string instruments that are, at times, vividly haunting but always entirely engrossing. “The Book of I” is Available; Album Available Soon!

Out today is Jorge Armenteros‘ striking novel, “The Book of I,” as well as artwork by Liselott Johnsson. Unfortunately, there was a slight delay in the release of my accompanying OST, but the album will be available shortly, I promise – within the coming week. So keep your eyes and ears out for it!

In the meantime, go read this fantastic review for the album and the encompassing collaboration by Barbra Dillon over at Fanboy Comics. And, you can go listen to teaser clips at my Book of I OST page!

-excerpt from Fanboy Comics…

…the soundtrack composed by Sarah Wallin Huff stands out as both a powerful album, taking its listener on an emotional journey of beauty, despair, and hope, as well as a fascinating study of the composer’s visceral and intellectual connection to the source material.  Featuring the stellar work of musicians Darrell Peries, Caleb Barnes, Cathy Alonzo, Jenna Ford, Lainey Elizabeth White, Brett Bird, Jonatas Mostacato, Ayla Draper, and [Wallin] Huff herself, the album is a stunning collection of gorgeous, orchestral selections comprised mostly of string instruments that are, at times, vividly haunting but always entirely engrossing.  [Wallin] Huff, who previously released her own album, Soul of the Machine, earlier this year, clearly has a passion and a gift for sharing every ounce of her mind, body, and soul with the listener, as if providing a warm invitation for the listener to share the same in response.
