In May, the Northshore Suzuki Strings of Milwaukee, WI, under the direction of Carol Waldvogel, performed my work from 1998, “A Garden Prayer” — and they did a marvelous job of it! Check it out for yourself! 😀
I also had the great priviledge of being able to chat with these bright and talented students over Skype and answer their questions in person. I had a wonderful time getting to know them all! <3
As we prepare for our big move, at the same time I’ve been finishing up my final violin lessons with the local tykes…. Sniff, sniff,… Very sweet! Meanwhile, during my final days coaching the strings of the Diamond Ranch High School orchestra, I had the privilege of performing with them during their ambitious concert at the Fox Theater in Pomona, and I had the privilege of working with them as they tackled the job of debuting my original work, “Courage Triptych“!
First, here are some simple recordings taken during the DRHS Orchestra’s performance of Images 2 and 3 from “Courage Triptych”.
And, enjoy these photo memories taken during this past week. 🙂
