New Dance and New Music in Collaboration

New Dance and New Music in Collaboration is a cross-disciplinary conversation of movement and sound. Come experience an immersive landscape of bodily transformations and live sonic variances. This evening of performances celebrate music and movement’s rich history of collaboration by bringing together students and professional artists from the departments of New Dance and Music.

For my part in this collaboration, I’ll be performing the first movement of “Gypsy Wanderer” with pianist Michael Jung.

Featuring all-original chamber works by local composers Simeon Goode, Brian Bunker, and Sarah Wallin Huff, this intimate Modern Musicale in an underground studio near downtown Upland is sure to be a delightful evening!

Come hear stirring, charming, and fun works for strings, piano, and more!…

  • Unique artist merch will be available for purchase during the show, and all sales & entry donations will go directly to the artists.
  • While the concert will start at 6pm, early birds are welcome to join the composers at 5:30pm for a pre-concert AMA (Ask-Me-Anything).
  • BYOC — Bring your own chairs, cushions…sit on the floor if you like. Make yourself at home!
  • Atmosphere: Relaxed… Bring your friends!
  • FYI: there is a flight of stairs you must go down to get to the basement.

Suggested donation at the door is $20, but we’ll welcome any amount you see fit to give. You are most welcome to join us!
