It’s been quite a while since my last update– which means a LOT’s been going on! I feel like I’m playing a bit a catch up here!
See what’s new and exciting after the jump:
The biggest news is that I’ve been highly honored to have been asked to teach as Adjunct Professor of Composition at The Master’s Collegein Santa Clarita! This is just the most amazing and surprising opportunity! I am tremendously enjoying my time there; this semester I’m teaching an Intro to Composition class with 13 students, and, in addition, I’m teaching 9 students privately in the art of composition. Next semester I’m slated to add a String Fundamentals class for Music Ed majors. The students are bright and a true joy to work with, as is the entire faculty and staff! I anticipate sticking around a very long time and continuing my work there, if they’ll haveme… 😉
- Last week, I was privileged to be a part of organizing the highly anticipated visit to the college by guest composer, Dan Forrest.
Jedediah Jenk conducts his work: “Heroic Journey” for octet I really enjoyed getting to know him! This was a fantastic opportunity for the composition students! We all were thrilled to get the chance to perform our compositions for him at a special masterclass; I even got to perform my work In the Forest…
