Saturday, April 28th at 3pm…
…I will have the great privilege of performing in concert at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Arcadia with violinist Doris Chiang, violist Miguel Cunanan, and cellist Anne Sherrill.

We’ll be presenting an exciting program entitled “Reaching New Worlds” — performing:
- Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 18, No. 2 (Movement 4),
- my own composition (which has been receiving a lot of attention lately!) Anima Mechanicae: Soul of the Machine,
- and Dvorak’s well-loved “American” String Quartet in its entirety.
These works certainly span the gamut of style and time as they represent the encountering of new worlds: from Beethoven’s “pushing the Classical-style envelope” to Dvorak’s fond reminiscence of his journeys to the New World of America… to the not-too-distant future of computer programs and robots who begin to experience the vast landscapes of Dream and Emotion in Anima Mechanicae.
