Alrighty, for those of you who haven’t heard yet – it’s official! I started on my Master’s program in Music Composition at Claremont Graduate University at the beginning of this week, and I’m really loving it so far. Aside from my two core research and analysis type classes, I am taking private lessons in composition with Mark Carlson (while Peter Boyer is on sabbatical), and private lessons in Baroque violin playing with Anne Rardin. The campus is just beautiful, the professors are intelligent, their classes in-depth and thought-provoking, the staff and students are all very friendly, and, hey, the parking is abundant and free! 🙂
