On April 14, next Friday, Principal Concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Martin Chalifour, will be giving a masterclass prior to performing in a recital at the Claremont Community School of Music. I was kindly invited to participate in the masterclass after the students had been accommodated for, and I was eager to take this opportunity. I will be performing the fourth movement from Sonata in A Major by Cesar Franck. So come by and see a world-class violinist critique my playing! I am very excited to learn all that I can from Mr. Chalifour; this promises to be an enlightening event for all.
The masterclass will go from 4:30pm to 6pm, and the Recital will begin at 7:30pm. While I am not certain as of yet where at the Claremont school the masterclasses will be held, the Recital will take place in the Andre Watts Recital Hall. Click here for more information.
