About the Trilogy…

…Hopefully, some of my nerdy fans will help me come up with a better name for it than “the Trilogy”, ha-ha-ha! …

The three books are: In Pursuit of Truth, A Question of Love, and Rivalry of Power.

[Find a nice, brief summary of In Pursuit of Truth here... finally!]

Well, it is cross-genre, in many respects… taking place in the future of our planet (yes, within our own Universe); about 230 years into our future, and then some, to be exact. It is technically sci-fi, but only within the realm of which the story resides, strictly for the purposes of its circumstances.

James likes to call it “Lord of the Rings meets Blade Runner“. That’s my favorite description so far! :) Many who’ve read it say that it’s deep, complex, intriguing, gripping, the descriptions vivid, that the writing is like poetry… that the “world-building” behind this fictional universe is deep and rich and full… unlike any story of its genre as of late… I’m just so excited and blessed that it’s garnered such reactions – that other people feel as strongly about it as I do! It’s very validating, and a true honor.

It’s really difficult to give any kind of a summary, without giving too much away, and each book of the trilogy has its own very distinct feel and pacing unique to itself. Essentially, the three books follow the journey of a girl who is thrust into the middle of a web of intrigue and conspiracy, that gradually unfolds over the decades of this woman’s life, and twists into a massive power struggle of sorts that consumes the entire Universe… ;) The characters involved each develop deeply throughout, and grow and learn and transform… even the villainous characters have sides that make you wonder whether you should have hated them in the first place, and vice-versa with some of the protagonists… and the technology (the sci-fi part) encountered even takes its important role in the emerging story as the trilogy unfolds… nothing is ever what it seems to be at the first… all happen in ways that keep you guessing…

Believe me, when they’re finally available for purchase, I’ll be raving all about it, and you’ll have to go and read them for yourself! :D Those who’ve had the chance to browse through, feel free to post your reactions! Your words are better than mine… :)
